We're redesigning and developing our store with a fresh CCSUI site. I've run into a problem using the Image & Attribute machine on the category page. The category page uses the attribute machine to list the attributes (colors) of a product using a select drop down menu. When the customer selects a color, the product image will update to the correct color or style.
The problem we are having is when the same product is listed more than once on the category page. Our category pages list out all the sub-categories and products on the page. This happens when a product is assigned to more than one category, and both those categories are on the page. This causes a doubling of DIV IDs on the page due to "swatches_%product_id%", thumbnails_%product_id%" and "main_image_%product_id%".
Is there a way to have the same product more than once on the category page using the image and attribute machines. I wouldn't want to create duplicate products with different product codes.
