Template data feed will not Work!

For some reason our template data feed seems to get stuck when you try to create the feed. Need to fix this for our sitemap.xml file. Have no clue why this is happening. We did just start using a cdn service but would that effect this?

oh and it was working fine before. last time it ran for the sitemap was 6-28-13

Did you change ANYTHING in the template?

Depends on what a cdn service is.

I can't imagine that it would, we use a CDN on www.mivamerchant.com and have never had any issues along those lines.

Then SidFeyDesigns needs to use the module support system and not this forum. It is going to take troubleshooting that may involve urls and passwords.

all i changed was a lastmod date for the categories. the module support system would be located on your site?

Did you read the FAQ in the usage doc on how to use the lastupdate tokens? If not, I suspect that will clear up why your export freezes. You probably skipped an important step covered in the FAQ on that subject.

yeah i got that and submitted the form. i've been using the lastmod feature for some time now. here is what the code looks like:

does anyone have any preference between yottaa and cloudflare? any input would be greatly appreciated.

We've run both on mivamerchant.com (not at the same time of course) and I liked different things about each of them.

Yottaa has much better support and is more personalized, plus they have more ecommerce experience. But Yottaa's control panel isn't as slick and (for now) they won't let you load you're own special SSL cert into their system.

Cloudflare has a really great interface with a specific focus on security (instead of speed), but their corporate focus is much broader and we had 2 minor outages with them (but I think that was truly a fluke).

So in the end I think they're fairly equal and it depends on preference, our personal preference is Yottaa which is who we stuck with for our own site.

yeah we have been on cloudflare and the security seems to function much better than the speed performance. We tried the yottaa trial for a week and noticed a consistent sub 3 second page load time across all locations tested. I guess you get what you pay for as far as performance goes ($100/month on yottaa, $20/month on cloudflare)
