I believe the change from Masking with *** to simply blanking out the field happened back in Update 7. The reason is when you Mask with *** you still expose how many characters are being masked, so we now just blank it out once it's saved. It should still work without issue though.

I'm not sure what code you're talking about. You should check with Support.

Sorry Rick, I was thinking of the Amazon bug code implementation seen on http://extranet.mivamerchant.com/for...m_medium=email post #3 and if that needed to be removed since the update.
