Innovative Gateway Solutions & switchover to Intuit Payment Solutions

    Heads up, folks.

Since learning the IGS is not going to be supported any longer after December, 2013 (or earlier) I started the process of switching over to Intuit Payment Solutions. DON'T DILLY DALLY in doing this. I started the process on 10/2/13 and received the free GoPayment card reader within a matter of days although I don't own an I-phone, I-pad, etc. It's a freebie to switchover even if you only have a website and no brick & mortar store. You will also receive your new Merchant ID (mandatory for the switchover) and $$ processing amount right away via email.

The big issue is the email from [email protected]. IT DOESN'T EVER COME. You need it to create a password on the website because you don't know what your userid is until you have that email in hand. I finally called Intuit tonight to see what's up. Their customer service is great and tried everything to get it to me through my domain email. The first guy (Auggie) based in Phoenix emailed me 4 additional email addresses to put in my AVG whitelist, hoping that would solve the problem. They are the following:

Got his email through my domain with no problem. Since I was having a problem figuring out how to whitelist them, I told him I'd call back to have the [email protected] email resent after entering the 4 email addresses.

The second customer service rep (Candace) let me know the email is definitely going out through their servers. After multiple more attempts and no email (I have absolutely no spam filters installed and everything comes through my ISP (BellSouth.net and into Outlook) she finally suggested changing my CSR email address so I could get this necessary email (they absolutely will not mail it to your business address). She emailed me the form through my alternative bellsouth.net email address and it needs to be filled out and sent back to Intuit so they can change your email address. This does not affect your business processing email address. Once they receive this form back along with specific verification documentation, the email address will be changed (about 24 hour turnaround) and they will send the necessary email to you. Candace said something has happened over the past week (cyber-wise) and they are having issues with customers getting that specific email. Somehow, I think it has been longer than this past week since I started the process on 10/2.

I haven't filled out the form yet, so I don't know if it will or won't be a 24-hour turnaround, but heed my advise and get this process started now if you plan on staying with them. I have now talked to 3 different people at Innovative Merchant Services (Intuit) who have not been told the IGS gateway is going away and it has taken them by surprise. Hope this helps anyone who needs to do this before the end of the year.

Re: Innovative Gateway Solutions & switchover to Intuit Payment Solutions

I asked Intuit for an update on when they're decommissioning the old IGS gateway. Now they're saying they'll tell customers in January and require the switch over in spring.

I do believe they'll reach out directly to customers once it's finalized.
    Thanks,
