Google rich snippet for UPC question

Hello forum: I want to create a snippet for our products' UPC code. For our other snippets (name, image, etc.) we are using the http://schema.org library but looking at the documentation for it I don't see a property for UPC. There is a property for a 13 digit gtin13 value but I don't think it could be used for our 12 digit UPC. Can someone point me to an example snippet for a UPC code? Thanks, Larry

I think I found the answer. I'm using the http://data-vocabulary.org/product library and coded a <meta tag as: <meta itemprop="identifier" content="upc:2 96145 93453 1" /> The Google Structured data testing Tool says this is OK. If this isn't correct, someone please let me know. Thanks, Larry.

According to schema.org "12-digit UPC codes can be converted into a GTIN-13 code by simply adding a preceeding zero"
