PA-DSS Compliancy Issue / Sebenza Welcome and Password Email module.

Wanting to update a MIVA site and make PA-DSS compliant, but the Sebenza Welcome and Password Email module, an important part of our setup, isn't compatible with the PR8 Update 7 I'm attempting to run.

I've updated the license for the Sebenza module and I've written to them about the issue. 6+ days later and I have heard nothing back from the module developer.

I know that MIVA sent out email explaining that there would be a surcharge for all sites not compliant by 02/15/14, but given that the issue is, in part, due to the non-responsiveness of this developer... is there any reprieve from the surcharge?

Those features are now built into the core as of PR8U7.

Which is why you need to remove it.

The issue is that PR8 Update 7 encrypted passwords for PA-DSS compliance, eliminating modules such as Sebenza's Welcome and Password completely. While I agree the developer is unresponsive, there is no workaround/update they can make in order to get this module working again. It is truly dead, and should be removed, while transitioning to Miva Merchant's stock account management features outlined here: http://extranet.mivamerchant.com/for...nd-CSS-changes

Ah. Not being able to update must prevent me from seeing that there is a welcome email built into the update.

Sebenza really shouldn't be taking money for updating licenses for modules that are no longer compatible. I'll take that up with them and assume I am just yelling in the wind.
