100,000+ products on site, best practice for speed, etc

Hello; Just came back from Mivacon which btw I would like to reinforce was pretty great. Good job by all.

I have over 100,000 items on my store and speed naturally is a concern. I have powersearch enabled which speeds up onsite searches tremendously.

Question I have: does powersearch help googlebot when spidering my site? Does google see my site as pokey slow, like it was before powersearch was enabled? Or nice and fast like it is now with powersearch? I read online that speed of site is a factor for google ranking, how much, who knows....

Then, related to speed. Does running multiple analytics programs/adding that code and other code (like onsite chat, tricked out offers, etc) bog down the site from a Googlebot perspective?

    thanks

Hard to determine if your site is considered slow without a link to the specific site. We offer extensive speed testing, which includes module and external resource overhead statistics, which we then base recommendations on to improve speed. Many of us that have been in the community for a long time also have the added experience to know what modules, scripts and/or settings are known problems when it comes to performance.

If you would like us to give your site a look, please feel free to contact us. Otherwise, I recommend a link so forum members can offer more specific responses.
