Re: Access a Basket with a Basket ID

    Thank you for the reply.

The RESTOCK_E page is in my store, I have the email set to fire to my email, and it does just fine, no issues with that. Toolkit is assigned to the page, as I am even using it to pull in a custom field, which it also does just fine.

I have literally tried copy/pasting the code directly from his website. On the basket page, I can save a basket and recover it from an email, however, even with that stock code, it simply will not pre-save the email/basket so that a customer merely clicks a link in the email and recovers those items that were in their basket (without them having to save it manually).

The only thing I can think is that maybe my toolkit is out of date. It is version 5.2150

Probably need to update. Look at the function intructions in your admin screen and see if they vary from the current instructions on the product page.

Re: Access a Basket with a Basket ID

They do vary. In my admin, the instructions for savebasket2email are number 140 instead of 131 as it is on your site and in my admin, it does not have the additional bit about pre-saving the customer email. Hadn't really looked in my admin for this function, just your site, so I didn't realize it was different or had been changed with an update.

The item number will always vary. Since the instructions vary, that would be the reason your older version is not working. Time to update.

Did you ever get this to work by upgrading?

I actually haven't had an opportunity to upgrade yet. I will let you know when I do and if I am able to get it working! Thanks for all the help/suggestions.

                Upgrading did the trick!

It does auto-save the baskets now. Only issue is that is messes up the attributes - it duplicates the selected option of an attribute into the next attribute, price and all. This may be a compatibility issue with my "Editable Basket Attributes" module though. Going to do some more troubleshooting to determine the issue.

We had to abandon the "Editable Basket Attributes" module because it was really messing with text attributes in attribute templates and was doing other random damage. It's almost 2 years since the developer was made aware of the bug and no fix. Look at these threads for info:

Wow. Unfortunately, that module is almost necessary in my store. However, I am thinking of a fix, which would involve making an "Edit Options" button that takes the customer to the edit attributes page for that product while it removes the existing product from the cart (so when they are done editing and press "update", there is only one of that product in the cart).

The only glitch I can think of to this method might be if someone pressed went to edit options, but then hit the back button. The product would no longer be in their cart since it was removed with the click of the edit options button.
