Export/Import Related Products?

Is there a way to export and import related products or is a module purchase needed?

You would need a module to do this. This is the only one I'm aware of which does that, though there may be others:

Yes, buy you'd need to replace the default Related Products feature completely with your own code (you could just copy the contents from the Related Products Layout and modify the array referenced by the loop). You could put a delimited list of product codes in a custom product field and use something like Toolkit's "vacreate" function to turn it into an array. That field would then be available for import/export without the need for an additional module (assuming you already have Toolkit).

We use the Emporium Plus related products module and love it. It will pay for itself in labor savings the first time you use it.

Does anyone know if the emporium plus related product module works with a Miva 9 store? It is listed as a Miva 5 module.

Yep...I have used it to transfer from Miva 5.5 to Miva 9

Thanks Rick and Jim. I bought and installed the module.

I uploaded relprdim.mvc and relprdex.mvc using home>modules>add module. I can see relprdim in Home>modules and in Data Management but cannot see relprdex in home>modules or in data management.

Jim - are you able to install both the import and export modules in your miva 9 store?

Originally I had only installed the import module in my Miva 9 store because that was all I needed, but I just now installed the export module and it is visible in my Data Management section as "Export Related Products to flat file" .

Maybe try to install the export module again?
