Data Management with INVENTORY variants/image machine

Hi,

I'm not new to Miva but I'm very new to the latest version of Miva and especially inventory variants and/or image machine. How do store owners manage data content if we use inventory variants? IS all data management done through the MIVA Admin?

In particular i'm referring to adding new products or even taking a MIva 5 store set of data and converting that data that only had attributes and options in to a product in a Miva 8 store with inventory variants.

Is there a module that can handle data using inventory variants?

Right now I've got 200 products but will hop to grow by several hundred soon.

If you are coming from a Miva 5 store and you already have attributes setup, you will still need to go into each product and turn inventory tracking on as well as generate inventory variants. If you have 100s or 1000s of products and doing this step manually is not practical we do have an automated way to do this for all products by building a custom script. It is usually around a 10 hour process but this may be a better route if you have a lot of products.
