please read the following situation and suggest me a solution.

    Hi,

please read the following situation and suggest me a solution.

In a Login page when user is requresting "Please email me my password"

    or

When user clicked on "Login" button after entering an invalid password, page is automatically redirecting to some standard login page of MIVA.

    that page is:

    Login into existing account:

    Login "Textbox"
    . Password "Textbox"
    .Please email my password

    "Login" ==>button

How can we stop that page navigation(Unknowingly) to some standard login page and displaying an error message on the Same Login page.

Note: we are unable to find that "Standard Login" page in our MIVA Admin mode.

    Thanks & Regards,
    P.L. RAVI KANTH

I too have been looking for a solution to not having the page reload to the same LOGN screen when users use the "email me my password". Unfortunately this is a function of the EMPW action.

I'm pretty sure there is no way around this as it is a function built intomiva. I suppose someone could make a module to solve this problem, although I doubt there are very many people that see this as a problem as opposed to a function.

As for the user going to the same LOGN page when typing an incorrect username or password... I'm pretty sure you can't change that either (I've never tried though). You could try editing the form for the LOGN page and change the Screen variable to the screen of your choosing and see if it works. I doubt it will however. If it doesn't work then it probably too would require a module no one will make.

Out of curiosity, why do you want to redirect the page when a user tries to login? I am trying to do something similar with the 'Email me my Password" and am working on a solution, although our motivations are probably different.

Here's the post I made last week: http://extranet.miva.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13625
