    Error code 1006

I am getting error code 1006.

    Unable to authorize payment:
    • The amount indicated is not a proper value. Please return to the originating web site and try again. If the problem continues contact your merchant. (Error Code 1006)
    • The amount of the transaction is invalid. Please check your data and submit your transaction again!
Even though the purchase amount on the screen says 74.99

Does anyone know what is going on?

I set my shipping to flat rate 5.00
and I have not set up any value for state tax.

It shows up as 0.00 in the checkout screen.

Code Product Quantity Price/Ea. Total JLRNY Jaguar Luxury Remi Natural Yaki 1 $69.99 $69.99 Length: 10Inch Color: 1 Shipping: UPS Flat Rate: $5.00 Sales Tax: $0.00 Total: $74.99

The "please return to the original web site and try again" message leads me to believe you are using a payment module that redirects clients to a 3rd party payment web site... which is where the error code 1006 comes from. That is not a code generated by Miva Merchant, so unfortunately we can't explain what that code is referring to or what triggered it, beyond the vague error description you already have. Your best bet is to contact the payment gateway you are using and ask them what this is all about and how to solve it.

Got it fixed. The web hosting company updated the server with all the latest Miva merchant updates and it worked.

      Thanks for your help.
