    Viking Custom UPS and OpenSSL

Our OpenSSL was updated to Win32OpenSSL-0_9_8k and now the Custom UPS integration does not work. The error log shows
MvCALL Error: |Error writing to SSL handle: ssl handshake failure

Is this a problem with the OpenSSL installation or with the Viking integration? The VikingUSPS module and payment gateways work fine?

    Any troubleshooting ideas?

The module just does https web requests so it can't be the module. I don't think the usps module uses a secure URL, and depending on your payment gateway, it may do its communications via a commerce library instead of a direct https call; which gateway are you using? My guess is the openssl is somehow not installed correctly or perhaps Miva Empresa needs to be reinstalled, or the root certificates that empresa comes with need to be reinstalled. Unfortunately I'm not familiar with that procedure on windows platform.

      The gateway is CyberSource ICSv2.

You are correct, the gateway url for UPS in non-secure. It looks like the certificates in the CERTS folder, it looks like the 122 certs are from 2004. Should they be newer? Are they available on the support site?

I replaced the newer libeay32.dll and ssleay32.dll files from a backup and the calls are working again.

Any ideas if this is an issue with the mvCall and the 0.9.8k implementation or was this just a bad installation of the OpenSSL libraries?

Miva will probably need to investigate that for you, but if you need the certs PM me you email address and I'll send the latest ones.
