I am wanting to upload a PDF file to Miva Merchant or the host of my main page. I have a picture on my main page that I can add a hyperlink to. I need to know if I can upload this on Miva Merchant or will have to use another avenue. Please advise.

Re: Uploading and Linking to A PDF File
In the Miva Merchant admin, click on “Global Settings”, then “Upload Settings” and add “pdf” to the “Image Extension Types”. Then you can use any of the image upload inputs (such as Category Title or Product Image”) to upload your PDF. Just be sure to not click “Update” or click “Reset” so you don’t actually assign it as an image. You just want it uploaded, which is completed when the “Upload File” pop-up disappears.Matt Cotten

Re: Uploading and Linking to A PDF File
Or, you can get FTP access to the site and upload the PDFs through FTP. This way you can keep all of the PDF organized in their own folder in the ROOT directly. Create a folder called "PDF" inside of the Root directory (usually "httpdocs") and upload the PDF files into it. Then when you want to link to the PDF you can simply write the link into the copy of of the site like this: This is my link to the PDF. That's how I would do it. Otherwise the PDFs will be mixed in with all of your product and header images within the Miva images folder. Usually not a big deal, but it can get kind of messy down the road if you have 1000s of products.
Hope this helps.
