Customize related items

I'm a MM5 user and am looking for the ability to customize my related items list. I sell two way radios and need to show all the accessories for a given radio (as many as 50 - 80 per radio). The only way to do this is in Related Items. To make it more organized and easier for the buyer to find product, I would like to show Categories Titles. For example, Batteries, Antennas, Chargers... etc to help break out the product.

Does anyone know of third party modules that would help me with this or is it possible and easy to do myself by customizing the product page (I am new to MM5, so I would probably need help)? Also, it would be nice to be able to use the flat file feature with the related items which I understand currently is not possible.

You can import related products from a flat file with this module

Well, thats a start... cool. Does this work the same as Mivas where you can choose what you want to export via Categories?

You could try setting up a custom field for your headings, and add the custom field only to the first product in a given section. It could get messy to maintain if you change or update products frequently.
