    Auto-Ship Monthly Orders

I am working with a client on a new store that will have the ability to do the usual real-time order, but they want to set things up to allow the client see a Terms and Condition statement and agree electrically to have this same order sent each month and billed through Authorize.net.

I know the gateway can do recurring billing, no problem.

I know there are modules that allow for the electronic signature and agreement to statements (although if anyone wants to offer the best module list to do this, that would be great).

What I do not know is how to auto-generate these orders through Miva, so that the fulfillment company is made aware to ship, and a receipt/invoice is emailed to the client without manual effort on the store owner. and Obviously there needs to be a setting to turn off a particular client's orders if they decline later.

We are using Webgistix as the fulfillment company (they are providing a Miva module) so anything we cook up, needs to be compatible with Auth.net and Webgistix.

Any ideas on the best way to achieve this? I would so appreciate it!

    Hi Holly,

You're looking for a recurring billing module for MM5. It doesn't exist. I've quoted it several times, and even at one point was keeping a running list of interested clients who were each willing to pitch in for part of the development. But never can get enough folks interested at the same time to warrant the level of effort it takes to build this right. It's a big project, and I'm happy to tackle it - but usually the sticker shock is tough to get past. :)

    Best,

There are no modules that do this - development would be quite pricey. However, this is a feature of Order Manager by StoneEdge.

        Holly,

I am in the middle of working with Kent Multer for this exact same thing for one of our clients, I would talk to Kent.

          Thanks Rick --

Yes, by the way, any time anyone says, "that can't be done in Miva," drop me a line. This won't be the first time I've proven someone wrong :^) .

(Sorry, couldn't resist the shameless self-promotion.)

Yes, I have a payment module for Authorize.net that supports recurring billing. It'll be on the market soon. In the meantime, anyone who wants a copy should contact me directly; the module's already been well tested.

The other part of the requirement -- automatically creating new orders within the store -- is not done by that module. But I've created similar things for custom projects.

          Thanks --
