Rick,

Please add a warning for <noscript> into the manage orders and mange shipments screens so that it tells people "This Feature requires Javascript" If you do NOT see anything below please enable Javascript".

Just a thought some people may or may not know their javascript is disabled or choose to have it turned off.

I have checked IE Javascript (ActiveScript) settings but still get nothing when clicking New Order. Any ideas? Can't wait to get this working!

Inventory at the attribute level... First I have not even begun figuring this out as it seems a bit strange.. Using firefox clicking "inventory variants tab" then edit inventory button after generating the quantity box gets thrown off to the right and it is not possible to scroll to it. Works fine in i.e. however.

Seems as though it is requiring inventory to be tracked on the inventory tab. However this doesn't really work since you are tracking it by attribute this is overriding it. If you set the main product to have inventory then it doesn't affect the attributes.

The bigger problem is that it scrambles the attributes when viewing it in the admin

Basically I have attribute set up with one attribute color-size
then it is listed out
heatherbrown_size-6
heatherbrown_size-7
heatherbrown_size-8
Navy_Size-9

this gets scrambled into something like this when doing inventory
heatherbrown_size-6
Navy-9
heatherbrown_size-7
heatherbrown_size-8


also when doing a search for a product in admin it then shows all the options as if they were different product ie Stegmann_L108 list out after a search and I think this will be very confusing..

We'll be posting more detailed instructions later today. However yes if you're tracking attribute level inventory you do NOT turn it on for the master product.

After taking a brief look at the new inventory attributes, I think there is definitely some usability issues and confusion created by the way this works.

I will follow up with detailed opinions on function and usability problems I foresee.

Well and since we haven't even't told anyone how to use it yet, that's going to be aggravated :)

This is precisely why we put this into the beta process, we've made the tech work and your feedback is vital in making the process work for our customers.

I have not updated to the beta 4 yet, but need to get clarification on something before I do. Question about the order history by email address and zip code feature. It would not take rocket science for someone to guess the email address and zip code of most store owners who might have placed some test orders. Hence, anybody could view the test order history of the store's owner. Does this feature get them any further than that, e.g. log them in?

Just tried to install Wombat on a brand new Miva store and received this error. Is this a quick fix for you guys? Should I downgrade the USPS module from a different store?:

Miva Merchant encountered a fatal error during upgrade. The upgrade process has been aborted.

Error Code: UPG-INC-00038 Description: Pre-install validation failed. No modifications have been made to the existing installation. The following issue must be resolved before installation can continue:
Miva Merchant expected module 'mvusps' to be on version '5.51'. The version found was '5.5101'.
After this issue has been resolved, please select Restart Failed Installation

Yes downgrade those modules to the PR6 versions and then run it. The problem is Beta's 1 - 3 came out before those modules did.

it does not log the user on, it only returns a list of orders that contain the matching zip and email

For the order status I would love to see another option. Perhaps something like, problem with order. It would be really nice to be able to put a note associated with the order. i.e. billing information didn't match, declined card (I use simple validation) customer used a po box on the shipping address and so on. Better than that a admin side and a customer side to this note :)

to add to this maybe the thumbnail image of the product for printing purpose with the order?

One more orders thing while I'm at it. Is it possible to control the default order of orders? I would really like to seen new orders first on the manage orders page?

do these order status screens have storemorph templates so we can add the extra info we want to them? I"m sure every store will have different needs. I myself would add a login check surrounding the display as I would want them to have to login to see order status info. But then I have a wholesale store. that' a whole different animal from a retail shop.
