    Site Review - (aev-conversions.com)

Hey, I've seen where a few people post their sites for review by the MIVA community....I hope this is an appropriate thing to do. I developed this MIVA/PHP site over the past couple months and finally have the basic site functioning and taking orders. I'd appreciate any feedback that you folks in the MIVA community might have.

    Thanks in advance.

I like the site a lot. I think the graphics are top notch and the category and product pages look very nice.

Your add to cart and checkout buttons are very similar which confused me a little, and the same thing happened on the BASK and OINF screens. I think the OINF screen could benefit from more spacing between options, and maybe some boxes or something to separate them.

Overall though the site looks very professional, but there are still a few (very small) things that could probably really help boost your conversion rating. I'd suggest reading some usability blogs or buy a book or two just for reference.

thanks for the feedback. When you say that the OINF could use more space between options I guess I'm just not sure what you mean...can you elaborate?

        Re: Site Review - (aev-conversions.com)

When I go to checkout and I am presented with the Login, Forgot Password, Create an Account, or Place order w/out an account options, it's a little over whelming. I definitely agree that those are all needed to be there, but there isn't anything that separates the choices. It should be broken up into sections.

Either the customer has an account, or they don't.
If they have an account, they may have forgotten their password.
If they don't have an account, they may not want one.

You can use lines, boxes, whitespace, etc. to try and help the customer see the different choices they have to make there. This is one of the most crucial spots in your store. This is the easiest place for a customer to abandon your cart completely -- it needs to be as simple as possible.
