Stack underflow error

When going from a category link in the tree to the category page, I get the following in an unmodified store. It shows the first product in the category and then this error:

Fatal error in /mm5/5.00/templates/s01/ctgy-product_list.mvc @ [00000002:000006c8]: Line 77: Stack underflow


Using MivaSQL because I could not get the MySQL working (something about missing module) and did not know what to put in the connection flags input either.

This occurs with all categories that have products. Alex?

I get the same error using MySQL. I created a test category and a couple of test products that are assigned to it, when I view that category from the public side, it shows just the first item, then the error just below it.

Strange... I setup a category with 4 products, testing it on the storefront side after each item was added, and I cannot duplicate the issue.

well it looks like putting the Category Product List Layout template in advanced mode got rid of the error. The strange thing is that if I restore the Original, the error does not come back. Also, the original is missing the Category Column Settings so it forces you to provide the number.

That's why I could not reproduce it. I had initiated a skin for testing and that kicked the Category Product List Layout Template into advanced mode.

In case it helps anyone, I got this error by having a empty if expression. Some something like this:

<mvt:if expr="">
 some stuff
</mvt:if>

I'd imagine it's not the same reason in everyone's case but maybe some.
