    Next 5.5 Beta

Will be released either later tonight or tomorrow.

It's going to require a fresh install so this is mostly a warning message.

It will include doctype control via the admin, the CSS tab and ability to upload the CSS file via admin, "Skins" is now "Framework", external links via Launchpad, pre-labeled and defined launchpad links and a whole bunch of bug fixes.
    Thanks,

Excellent, it was getting a little too quiet around here ;)

Alex will be posting shortly with the FTP info for Miva Merchant 5.5 Beta 2.

Please download it, install fresh and let us know what you find.

Also please focus on testing the Dreamweaver Plugin as we haven't gotten any feedback on that to date.
      Thanks,

        Re: Next 5.5 Beta

        Hi all,
Unfortunately, we ran into some issues relating to external stylesheet interpretation by Mozilla. We will be unable to resolve this issue tonight and plan to have the kinks worked out sometime Monday. We apologize for the delay and we'll get this fixed as soon as possible.

Where do I download the Dreamweaver Plugin? Any documentation on how to set it all up?

The dreamweaver Plugin should've been in the zip file you got with the Beta. Email me if you can't find it.

Basically you double click the plugin and it installs itself as an extension in Dreamweaver.

Then under the Pages tab in your admin you can Export any page you'd like. Choose which Pages to export and hit update. That will put those files in the directory that's specified under the Dreamweaver Import/Export Tab under Store Settings in 5.5.

Open Dreamweaver, setup the FTP in Dreamweaver to get to those pages and open the pages or components you want to edit.

Edit and then save them in their current location.

Go back to the Pages tab in your admin and Import (same process as Exporting, check mark what you'd like to Import and hit Update) any pages you've changed.

Go look in the runtime and see the changes.

I know this was not thorough but should let you play with it.
            Thanks,

Okay, found the plugin and I see the files in my ftp. It took me a minute to realize that I probably have to save my pages to HTML instead of DATA. I'm playing around with it now and I love that I can open items that are linked inside of the pages. Its also great that linked items are automatically imported too.
