    Beta 3

Beta 3 will be released imminently.

One major thing to note is that the CSS Framework that's in the beta will stay in beta after the general release of 5.5 in April.

So when 5.5 streams and ships it will include the Framework feature but it will not stream the new CSS Framework. That will stay in Beta and will become a download from our website. For more advanced users they can install it and use it. For your average user they'll want to wait until it's out of beta.

It's very important to us that the CSS Framework is done right from the beginning both in terms of validated code and being usable for skins, that it's worth leaving in Beta mode for a little while longer.
    Thanks,

    excellent!

I am assuming that means both the dreamweaver integration, and the "skins" - correct?

Or maybe an easier way - customers can't download pages and edit them locally - then update. - correct?

No. There's a series of changes to the Dreamweaver implementation (based in large part to your earlier feedback on it) that you'll see in Beta 3.

This is specifically about the CSS Framework.

The vast majority of the Dreamweaver feedback has been very positive so unless I'm missing something I don't imagine it slipping past release.

        Cool.
Will the next beta stream - or be a new install?

It'll be a new install. It should (unless something goes wrong) be the last of the new install beta's and everything should be a stream following Beta 3.

This means we will still get the css framework in beta 3 as it exists now so we can hammer on it some more, right?
