    Questions on Wombat Order Status

    1) Is the customer logged in after or placing an order or not? When I did a test order, I stayed logged in, but Chuck's screencast shows something odd. The Account tab at the top acts like you aren't logged in, but then once you get to that page, you are logged in. Does the INVC screen log the customer out and then back in causing this initial bad link? I know we mentioned this previously (http://extranet.mivamerchant.com/for...ad.php?t=22814) but I didn't see a response, so I thought I'd mention it again.

    2) When creating the shipment, once you open the dialog box, you lose the requested shipping method. That information needs to be there so that the person shipping knows (and doesn't have to memorize) what the customer selected. Adding on to that, it would be VERY nice if the shipping method was selected by default (with the ability to manually change if needed). In the example, the requested shipping method was UPS Ground. It would be nice if that was shown on the popup screen somewhere, and then selected by default so that the shipper doesn't have to give it any thought. For the UPS module, this would be easy, but it is harder once you get into the custom modules like PTB Shipping and CBS Shipping SuperMod. Would it be possible to create a mapping screen under Shipping Settings so the store owner could configure the defaults?

    3) If you're going to force a download of every shipping label (meaning we can't just view the label on the server and print, we have to download it to our computer), the filename should be unique. I don't know why we would need to save a copy of every label we want to print to our desktop computer, but if we do, shipping_label.gif for every label will become annoying. Including the order and shipment number would help keep everything unique and organized.

Actually I was going to post a response today, you do stay logged in, Chuck just wasn't expecting it. We "fixed" that in Wombat.

Both good points, I'll talk to Dev. I think #3 is a no brainer, I'll have to see how we want to handle #2 but I agree with the need you describe.

Can you comment about the link on the INVC screen (is the customer logged out at the top of the page and logged back in at the bottom or something odd)? Chuck click the account tab and was directed to the LOGN screen instead of the dashboard as expected.

Watch the video again, Chuck was logged in the whole time, he just didn't realize it. It never prompted him to login again, he just said that out of routine.

The way it works now is you stay logged in until that session expires.

I just watched it again and at about the 1:00 mark Chuck clicked the "Account" tab and was sent to the LOGN screen. He then clicked on the "Welcome back, Chuck" text (which is odd to have on a LOGN screen) and landed on his dashboard.

I just watched again and then went and tested. It's a bug in the Beta. If Chuck had clicked his name up top he would've have gone to the proper account page. It'll be fixed in Beta 4.

You stay logged in the whole time.

                Questions on Wombat Order Status

This is a lovely mod, great work. I installed it first time, no issues and it works perfectly.

I was wondering if this could work or be made to work in the Customer Account View Orders Screen, and add an Order Status image there?

                Thanks
