    Re: Sub-product mapping in Wombat

I watched the video.. this is well and good for a small store or one that you are building the first time.

But, how do you do this for a store that has 4500 products and about a third of them and 6 options for color / size. and some products have both size nad color combos. Is there a way to automate this?

Is there some import mechanism to set this up?
I want the master sku to go out of stock when all the sub products are out of stock too. just like in the video. But it would take me three months to go set this up by hand, and by then... the counts would be all off anyway. LOL.

      Hi Kayak -

I'm willing to build this - but knowing it is on the mid-term horizon for Miva to build their own import, can't do it on spec and hope to recapture the development costs by selling it. So here's a thought - if you and a handful of other store owners want to sponsor development, I'd be willing to do it.

Any updates yet on this importing and tying together variants to master products?

That's my hold up with going to wombat. Have too many products to be feasible to do manually.

If enough of us joined up up pay for it, James would build an importer for us even though miva said 'someday'. If you're interested pm me.
