Notes in Order

Hello MM.

I want to let you know, IMO the new Manage Orders and Manage Shipments interface is excellent. I enjoy processing orders with it! It's easy and intuitive.

I have a question. Is there a way to add notes to an order (for internal use)?

You can easily do it with the Order Custom Fields module. It has two features: 1) customer can add responses to questions during checkout, 2) store employees can add unlimited notes to an order. http://www.emporiumplus.com/go/wcw/PROD/1AA/1AA00225

Yes. If you click manager orders and then an order number, at the top of the page you will see tabs, one of them is Order Custom Fields. Click it and you can edit one or more of the order custom fields.

And the customer responses and/or employee notes can be on the pick list if you want them there.

How does the order custom fields module compare to the addendum module (which I am using now).

Addendum displays the customer checkout responses. But you cannot edit the responses in the manage orders screen.

The order custom fields lets customer enter checkout responses and lets employees edit any order custom fields you have created.
