Processing vs Picking

From what I can tell, (Manage Orders - Processing) is the same as (Manage Shipments - Picking).

Seems like it should be one or the other, not both. Unless, they really do have different meanings. If you are basing the status on shipping, shouldn't it be Picking under both areas?

Not necessarily, not all Orders require Picking and someone may use the Processing State under Manage Orders for something else (like fraud screening).
