I'm not sure if this has been answered...

Can you insert Miva9 dynamically generated coupon in a template based email when an account is created or an order placed?

I haven't done it, but I was told with the release of 9.001 (not sure of how many zeros)...this will work.

I am deprecating the E+ coupon module for the Miva9 feature as it is more powerful and relational.

As I am applying the new features of Miva9 it gives me an opportunity to revisit a certain procedure or method. I had always used E+ generated coupon codes on emails because that's the way I was shown. Maybe random generated coupon codes are not too important after all and could be more difficult to remember. So I can use a static coupon until the new component comes out.

(Bruce has said its more important to know what you are trying to achieve than how to technically do something.)

Hello Rick,

Will this auto coupon generation module by MIVA, work similar to Emporium plus Coupon and follow on modules. Where you can automatically generate a unique coupon code and have it automatically attach to an email, that could be sent out two or three weeks after the purchase automatically. Or, should we stick with the Emporium plus modules.

Can the coupon discount amount be displayed in the confirmation emails? I see that the discount can be displayed under each line item that it applies to but can the total discount be displayed next to the Coupon Code?

If you are using product specific discounts they are only displayed as a line item under each item. If you are using order discounts they are displayed in the order charges area.

You can always do something custom where you add up all the product discounts and display a total for them near the charges loop if you wish.

Hello Rick,

We finally got around to installing the “Generate Coupons Module”. My question is where is the email component? Did we install the wrong mod? You said this was a replacement for Bills “Follow on” module. We need Miva to automatically send a predefined email 21 days after a customer purchases, and have the module generate and insert that coupon code in that email and automatically send it. (That’s what the “follow on” Mod does) I don’t see this capability in this module.

Would it be safe to assume MIVA is still working on a true replacement for the “Follow On”.

I think you've combined two concepts/issues.

You can now use Emporium Plus Follow On Contact with the new V9 Built In Coupon system by using our new Generate Coupons module. Our module can also be used for any other reason you'd need to generate a coupon via a Page Action.

We do have plans to build our own Follow On Contact type feature, but this module is only to allow our new V9 Coupon system to work with the existing Follow On Contact Module.

We upgraded our store to MM9, and I want to use the coupon feature to offer a discounted price on specific products. I created a price group, added the products I want to discount, created a coupon, but I can't figure out how to add the box for the customer to enter their coupon code.
