Its really not complicated at all once you know how. We use it all the time on our legacy store. In fact we use Wieland's Template data Feed module to generate import list to save time.

We are also interested in a script to convert our emporium plus volume pricing into the new pricing import structure. We'll build our own script for this if one does not exist out there already. If anyone is interested in our script let me know.
