It was a little counter intuitive for us to do it this way, but it works well. And the Attribute Option Prices don't have any effect on the Volume Pricing and they're not discounted. Sorry this isn't much help, but it works...

    Hey Ron,

I'm trying to follow along with what you have done to prevent the Attributes from not getting the discount off. I have tried the "Fixed" and the "Absolute" Volume Pricing and both are including the discount on the Attributes. The "Absolute" is the strangest. Since your post is a few years old is your method still working for you?

      Hey Leslie,

Yes this is still working for me. Volume discount type is "Fixed". "Absolute" will discount the attributes for sure. Try setting your volume price to fixed, update your pricing, then run the "Pre-Calculate Discount Prices" task under store settings > scheduled tasks. Could be a cache issue.

I'm not sure I follow, what do you mean use a method other than what they want? Also specifically what is lacking?

Need an easy way to make sure that the Volume Pricing is not applied to the product attributes, just the product. I think Ron is having to jump through a few hoops, if I understand correctly what he has to do. The store owner wants to be able to enter a percentage and not worry about it.

Would like to be able to have a display similar to the EP Volume Pricing that includes a percentage of discount.

Need the display table to only show the discounted ranges. Why show the range that doesn't have a discount?

My main issue is the way the volume pricing has to be entered. "Absolute" would match the way our pricing structure is set up internally. But "Absolute" applies the "Absolute Price" to the product including all options even if there's a cost for those options, so this doesn't work for us. Seems broken to me... Or a bug.

So if you have 1 @ $10, 2 @ $8, 4 @ $7, instead of entering the price of the product you have to enter the "Fixed" discount. (2, Fixed, $2), (4, Fixed, $3)... Makes working with volume pricing a nightmare.

I've never used "Percent" so i have no input there.

              Ron,

How do you want/expect the Cost to be handled? Do you only want the discount on the Master Product? We're a little confused trying to follow what you want exactly.
              Thanks,

"Absolute"ly! Item options have an additional cost/price which should not get discounted with volume.

Master Product only no matter what discount type is used. I'm sure there may be some store owners that want to pass the the discount on to the attributes so it would be super nice to have a checkbox for "Master Product Only".
