Setting Defaul for Searh and Category Sort

Can I sent the default sort for search and categories to highest price first? I am using the ready themse, which have sort options, but I don't know if there is a way to set default sorts.

Yes. Go to User Interface, then pages, then CTGY. Under the Category List Layout there is a setting to set the default sort. One of the options is highest priced. This change will impact all categories on the shopping side.
