How to get image thumbnails to regenerate after overwriting?

    Hey guys, question:

I am re-uploading a catalogue of images with a very simple change on each photo.

When I overwrite each image over FTP, the image itself changes to the new image, but the thumbnails do not regenerate, and stay as the old image.

Is there a 'regenerate thumbnails' type of command similar to Wordpress to solve this issue?

Keep in mind this is 600-700 products, so I am looking for a batch solution!!

    Thanks.

Yes, under utilities there is a module called Image Management. You will need to install it under Add/Remove Modules first. Here there is a button named "Check for Updated Images". For any image that was changed via FTP, this will see it changed and delete all the variations. They will then get regenerated then next time that product is loaded.

      Brennan,

      Many thanks.

It appears Image Management can only be accessed via the Dropdown MENU which I rarely use, it is not listed on the sub-menu under Utilities. Hidden feature for me!

      Looks like it worked great,
      Cheers

It would be great if there was a simple "Regenerate thumbnails" button right on the top bar (next to that Flush Cache button I asked for).
