We have an immediate need for the following enhancement to v.9 account management:
The custom MIVA account module would have these attributes:
- We already have custom fields in the ship-to and bill-to called "Mobile Number"
- We want to add a new custom field, let's call it "MFA_ID". This would be stored for the MIVA account and be accessible to admin staff only.
- Optionally, we add a "mobile number" custom field at the same level of the "lost password email" field
- There would be a account flag for customers to enable MFA
- When the customer enables MFA, then their mobile number(s) is provided to our third-party MFA vendor to create a user account.
- The newly created MFA account ID from the third-party vendor is then stored in the MFA_ID field for the MIVA account.
Note: The scope does NOT include using MFA for the end-user login to their MIVA account. We are not adding MFA to MIVA but merely using MIVA to store the customer's MFA account details. The run-time authentication process for MFA actually occurs in a different system that we've integrated into MIVA and is NOT included in the scope of this project.
