    Re: Inventory Variant URL

Just one last note, everyone. Today I received a direct approval from a Google Merchant Center specialist regarding this issue:

got your account approved and pricing issues in the feeds have been fully resolved.
Kent's module does exactly what Google needed it to do to keep my Google Merchant Center account from being suspended further.

    Thank you.

    Re: Inventory Variant URL

Hey, Everyone! I just wanted to update you all and let you know that Kent built a custom variant selection module for my store so that I can once again list my Miva store items on Google Shopping!

If Google Shopping threatens suspension of your account due to your data feed not "pre-selecting" the appropriate variant upon page load (by default Miva does not have this ability), talk to Kent because he is awesome and the best at what he does!

Good luck and let me know if you have any questions! I'd be happy to help!

    Have a great day!

Kent, I will drop you a line now to discuss. Thank you very much for your response! I hope others join in, as well!

Would it be possible to use a variant code to determine the variants appropriate attributes, and then select them?

In the template data feed you'll need to create a URL that has the attribute you want selected passed as a parameter:

    http://www.domain.com/product/produc...red&size=small

Then on your product page attribute template you'll need to add logic to check for these values and change which attributes options are selected by default.

If template data feed does not give you access to the different attributes you need, you'll need to convert the feed into a page so you have more access to the data.

    Brennan,

Thank you for your rapid response and for verifying that there is no default way to do this in Miva. I understand the direction you are suggesting I go to achieve this type of custom functionality.

Hopefully a module developer will build a new template feed module or improve upon the Emporium Plus' Template Data Feed module soon, because I feel as though I am not the only merchant that will run into this problem in the future.

    Thanks!

    Inventory Variant URL

    Hello,

To avoid suspension, my Google Shopping feed now requires the product URLs to be the product page with the correct attribute (drop down) selected.

Is there a way to construct an URL in Miva that will do this?

I am using Emporium Plus' Template Data Feed module. I saw a similar post in the forums, but I do not believe the solution was verified:

Thank you for your help in advance!
