We have been using toolkit for a while and are on version 5.2710
We use Save Basket to Email and Restore Basket.
We were not tracking Inventory – but recently turned it on to use the variant functionality. We do not hide products that are not in stock because we keep getting shipments and we can let the customer know that product will be here in 3 weeks or 10 days or whatever and they are fine with that.
If customers save a basket to email it saves fine.
If customers restore a basket (TKRESTORE) it checks inventory (whether we want it to or not) and gives an error saying not enough product is in stock. Then it does not restore the basket. It does not matter that I put the low stock level and the out of stock level to a large negative number. It appears to be hard coded at 0.
We do not want such a behavior because as I said we could be getting product in a couple of weeks and we can tell the customer that and usually they are fine.
Is this behaviour modified in a subsequent version? Can such behavior (inventory tracking) be turned off in the fucntion TKRESTORE?
Can anyone suggest a workaround?
Thanks
Sam
