    How Shipping Boxes Work

We are using "Pack by Quantity" for shipping through FedEx.

We have 3 box sizes setup:
    1. Quantity up to 12 items
    2. Quantity up to 16
    3. Quantity up to 32

For this store, individual product size doesn't matter so we don't have any product dimensions entered.

Is the right information being sent to FedEx with just these settings? We really just want miva to pack the boxes based on the quantities and not related to the product dimensions. Or are the product dimensions required for this to work properly?

I didn't see anything in the reference guide about this specifically so I just wanted to clarify.

Is there a way to 'see' the data that is being sent to FedEx in terms of which box is used and how many boxes are being used for each order?

    Re: How Shipping Boxes Work

Under the Pack By Quantity tab under shipping settings, uncheck the options for: Exclude Boxes Smaller than Product Dimensions

This will allow Miva to ignore the product dimensions. If you have that unchecked miva will use the first box until the max quantity is reached then the second, then the third. If more than 32 items are ordered it will start a second box starting at the smallest and working up.

Miva has logging that can be enabled to view the call and response from FedEx but it is somewhat technical to setup:
