Google seems to have picked up a large number of product links with /product/ in the URL. The site is configured to use /&mvt:product:code;.html for the products. This is also the same style link the site used before switching to the URI Management. I've checked the sitemap that was submitted and it's not included in any of the submitted links. When viewing the Error Details it gives no indication as to where the link was found. This is a fresh 404 error detected on 11/14/2015 and there are almost 500 of them total. What's the best way to fix these?

Re: URI Management and bad links showing up in Google
Did the site used to use the link structure that Google is picking up? If so you should have 301 redirects in place to fix this.
However if google is still seeing these old links they must be on the page somewhere. View the page source and see if the old URL structure appears anywhere. I've seen sometimes Google will pickup Google Analytic calls i the source and if those have the wrong URL structure it will cause the 404s too.

It's kind of hard to decipher what's being submitted via GA (but it doesn't look right):
Code:ga( 'send', 'pageview', { 'page':'/Merchant2\/merchant.mvc\u003FStore\u005FCode\u003DKCD\u0026Screen\u003DPROD\u0026Product\u005FCode\u003DW362424MC' } );[/TD]

Re: URI Management and bad links showing up in Google
The Google Analytics module is passing the old style dynamic urls, which is a problem, don't think it was updated to support the new URI Management features in 9.4. That said, if you are seeing /product/ style short links, I would check your sitemaps.

As I mentioned, the sitemap URL are good (it was the first thing I checked). Moogle seems to play very nicely with the URI Management.Leslie Kirk

It is, but it's not linked because of there are thousands of products. The URL are correct in it too.Leslie Kirk

Re: URI Management and bad links showing up in Google
Hard to say for sure without seeing the specifics then. Errors/404's reported in Google Search Console could even be an external source, product feed/PPC etc., which usually lag on exposing their "Linked From" location.
I am not aware of an official fix for the Google Analytics dynamic url issue yet, but with that url format, should be able to apply some conditionals to get it to fire properly.

Re: URI Management and bad links showing up in Google
I am having a similar issue where I changed my link structure, now I am getting 404's but MM9 manages the .htaccess file. I am afraid to mess with this because the 2 times I have in the past it has broken the site until I reactivate recall and update from the UI.
I need to redirect those dead links to their new links but the URL feature doesn't work for me.Night Optics USA | Huntington Beach, CA
