Does the Addendum module automatically add the checkout note information into the notes section of Order Processing or do I need to code that in somehow? Customers leave notes when they checkout so i want to make sure it is carried over so I can see it when I'm processing their orders. Any help is greatly appreciated :)

Using Addendum to add notes in order processing

Addendum and order notes are two separate systems. You can use one or the other, but using both would be redundant. If you're just trying to allow your customers to leave you a order note and have it show up in the notes section of the Miva admin, you don't need addednum and you can set this up yourself with some custom template code:

Thanks for the quick response Brennan! I set up the custom notes as instructed in the video and everything seems to work fine. Unfortunately all the notes are located in a "custom fields" link on top of the order pages in Order Processing and I have no way of knowing if a customer has left a note unless i click on the link in every single order. Is there a way to have the note show up on the order page so i see it right away after i click into the order? If not then is there a way to put a number marker next to the link to note that some has left a note?

mph_vin and Brennan,
Exactly my question as well - is there a way to
a) put the content of the custom field below the last order line in admin - so that it is always seen (without taking any special action - which people are apt to forget)
b) As mph_vin said - put a * or something next to custom fields so that one knows that there is something in there.
Thanks
Sam

The 'Notes' link when editing an order in Order Processing displays if there are any messages in parenthesis. So is there is a note it displays 'Notes (1)'.Doak Heggeness

I would like to know how to make the notes display in full as well. The Notes(1) displaying would work if I had more control over it. As of right now it will always display a number. Every single order will have a note because simply creating the order makes a note.
In other words that number doesn't really tell if there is an important note and the person processing orders is forced to waste time clicking that link on every order for just in case something important is in there.
