Attribute images order and thumbnails

HI, I am running in to a small problem,
I am able to use the Attribute images to show different colors of a product.
But! If have additional images in the Parent... how do I make the Attribute images the First image and one of them the Main image for the thumbnail category page.

HI Brennan, Thanks I know how to get the image to change when a attribute is selected. The question is IF I have other image in the parent product how do I make the attribute image the FIRST/Main image of that product, and is there a way to use the attribute image on the category thumbnail.

This is all based off of using image types... the image loaded to the main product should have a type of main. Then the images uploaded to the attribute must also have the type main. Only load the one (multi shot) image to the master product.
