Mail Settings in cPanel with SNI environment

I'm running MM 9.0006 with VM v5.24 under CentOS 6 with cPanel 56 (at the moment). The domain MM is running on is using a shared IP but has its own SSL cert using SNI. I also have SNI enabled for mail within cPanel / WHM for this domain.

    Mail settings: SSL / 465

If I try to use the domain name (not the server host name) as the mail server, I get this error on the confirmation screen in MM after placing an order

"One or more notification emails could not be sent at this time: Error establishing SSL connection: certificate verify failed"

If I switch it back to using the server host name mail works fine through SSL.

Is MivaVM SNI enabled? Any other ideas what might be causing it not to work?

    Thanks!

The MvSMTP command is not SNI-capable; I'll log a request with our developers for that. If you absolutely have to have it work, you can disable empresa's cert checking, but that places you at great risk if you're doing real time payment processing, etc. since you do want cert validation for outbound https requests.

Great, glad I wasn't going crazy. Look forward to that MvSMTP SNI being implemented. Is that something we'll see soon?

I do not think it's going to be a short term feature add since there is an easy workaround (matching the configured smtp host to what certificate is known as being served) and many mail servers don't have SNI support yet; I believe Courier just got it a few months ago for example.
