Not sure if this has happened to anyone else, but I've had a store owner report that every list is now paginated including orders and attributes. I was sent a screenshot and saw what she was talking about. Could this be a bug in the 9.00066 update?

Although some people may beg to differ, I don't think Leslie is crazy. (At least not in this case....)
I just noticed that after running the upgrade to 9.66 the pagination in my Catalogue | Products screen was reset from scrolling to paginating. I was able to get it back to the way it used to be configured for me by changing the option for List Pagination on Users | Edit User | Settings to "Always Use Infinite Scroll" from "Automatic".
Not sure what would have caused this, but this happened in both my stage and prod stores. No big deal now that I figured out how to switch it back, but it appears that something in the upgrade did make a change to this somehow.Todd Gibson

What type of computer is this being used on? Does the display happen to have a touch screen? Browser version would also be helpful to know (and whether the same computer/browser was used prior to upgrade as was used after upgrade). If you set the Pagination setting back to Automatic, does it go back to paginated mode? Pagination in batch lists happen under two circumstances:
a.) You have manually specified that you want paginated mode (in the settings)
b.) You have specified (or rather... it was specified for you when the setting was first enabled) that you want automatic mode AND the monitor being used supports touch input (example being a chromebook with touchscreen support, a tablet, etc).
Nothing else enables the pagination within MMBatchList. Trying to figure out what would have changed between pre-9.66 and post, since the patch itself touched no settings at all and you mentioned that you changed the setting away from Automatic (which means the setting didn't get changed anyway). Was there a time gap in between updating from 9.64 to 9.65 (where you were able to play with the lists and note whether they showing the correct infinite scroll) and then upgrading to 9.66 (which was released pretty quickly after 9.65), or did both patches get updated at the same time? Any other details you can think of that might help me put the pieces of this together would be great (any special circumstances with your setup, etc). I went through the upgrade process on my dev store and had no issues, but... Mine isn't a real store with real data and other stuff going on.

PC laptop
Yes but it was not used.
Same browser before and after

I have not tried to do anything with the pagination on any of the sites.
I just accepted the updates by clicking it.

I'm using a PC with a touch screen running the most recent version of Firefox. I tested with Chrome and had the same experience. I just tried logging in on a PC laptop without a touch screen, and the Automatic setting does not default into paginated mode. Could it be that with the update something changed with how touch screens are recognized or supported? Again, this isn't a big deal because I can change the setting, but it did seem odd to me too that this changed with the update.Todd Gibson

It definitely seems odd to me as well. Especially considering nothing remotely related to pagination stuff was altered in 9.65 or 9.66. I went back and, starting from 9.0, upgraded to each version and tested on a touchscreen PC. It worked as designed for me in each version (meaning with Automatic set as the mode, pagination was used on the PC with the touchscreen and infinite scroll was used on my desktop without a touchscreen). The only thing I can think of is if the browser you were using by default (assuming FireFox, since you mentioned you tested it with chrome as well) wasn't reporting the touchscreen capability and magically updated around the same time you updated to 9.66 and now reports touch capabilities (... highly unlikely, but at this point, who knows). Either way. The behavior you're seeing is the correct behavior. Touchscreen devices with Automatic mode set SHOULD see pagination, and if you don't want it, you've done the right thing in manually changing the setting. I'm just very curious as to why it wasn't working before and suddenly is, given that the code that handles it all has remained unchanged since 2014.

I can confirm that the 3 sites I'm dealing with were all set to Automatic before the update. I have since manually changed the setting "Always Use Infinite Scroll" - so, in theory, it has been broken until this update.Leslie Kirk
