    Shipping From Multiple Locations

I did not see this in any recent posts, but is there a way to have multiple ship from locations for estimates. We have two locations we ship from for 50% of our products and we have 2 other locations for about 30% of the other products. Part of why we ship from different offices, is to save shipping for our customers. Any thoughts? UPS dev kit does not seem to have address additions.

    Thanks,
    Marshall

We don't currently have native support for multiple shipping locations but we do have plans to add it. You can do it now by used the Viking Coders UPS advanced module or Advanced Shipping Manager: http://apps.miva.com/advanced-shippi...-merchant.html

So, this is a rather old thread, but are there still any plans to add native support for multiple shipping locations? ..Otherwise, is the ASM module still the preferred method of dealing with multiple origin locations?

I'm assuming Miva 10 should not have any impact one way or the other?

      Thanks.

For now tools like ASM are the best solution, as we've evolved we often see this handled via a companies ERP system, so we need to rethink our approach.

Hi Psydde, I have a few shipping modules that support multiple origins. You can drop me a line by email to discuss them in detail.

It, is something I wish was native. Shopify has a nice location, shipping/delivery setup. I would really like something like that in MIVA.

Well it's about time for us to dust this off, so we'll do some research and come up with a new paradigm for how we want to do it natively.
              Thanks,

                      Belated fourth!

Also, would this type of feature would include a way to manage different location inventory levels from within a single Miva store? It seems like quoting rates from multiple locations wouldn't add value if all quoted locations don't have the inventory on hand for the order. Multi-location inventory would be a huge new feature with far-reaching implications all on its own.
