Restrict shipping by price group - Miva 9

It looks like this allows you to show specific shipping options by availability group. Is there any what to hide shipping options by availability group also?

You can do it via the admin using the build in shipping method rules. It allows you to limit shipping methods via Availability Groups. Do you need a programmatic way to do it?

Is there already a built-in function to restrict shipping methods by price/availability group? I know the shipping supermod does it.
