How To Do Shipping Address Validation

Is there a module or another tool available that validates the shipping address during checkout, or in the admin?

YTD, we've paid UPS $1200 in address correction fees. Need to fix that.

For the most part, we export an order summary from the admin, and map it to UPS Worldship (sometimes we ship USPS using Endicia). So we're using the address exactly as the customer has entered it. From time to time they make typos, no doubt about it, and it ultimately costs us money.

Would like to find a solution, and better procedure. Open to your advice.

We use: UPS Address Validation v5 by AdvanzDesign.com

Works great. We did a lot of testing and it didn't appear to increase the cart abandonment rate at all, and we're getting valid addresses.

We're using a shipstation for shipping and it does address validation automatically
