    Inventory Email Notifications

Does anyone know about how the inventory email notifications work? I've set it up in a brand new fresh store for testing. Just a straight CSSUI store (no BaseReady theme). I've been sending test orders through to see if I can trigger the email, but no luck. Checked spam and all that. I see some posts here that are quite old that referenced the same thing, but not sure if the issues ever got resolved. Seems like a pretty simple setup. Turn on inventory at store level. Make sure notifications are turned on. Turn on at product level. Add a stock level and place an order that depletes the level to zero. Are there any other settings anywhere else that I'm missing?

    Thanks,

Hmm. Mine works. Sounds like you have it set up correctly. Perhaps something with your email settings? Here's a screen shot of mine. Also as you said. Enable inventory tracking at the product level.

      Hi Diana,

I've got it set as per your screenshot. A couple of things to note is that I'm not using inventory variants or any kind of attributes for the purpose of this test. Just a straight product. Also, I don't have "track low stock level" or "track out of stock level" checked, which I believe would allow the shopper to order more than the available quantity. That should trigger the emails, should it not?

      Thanks for your response.

I DO have "track low stock level" and "track out of stock level" checked. Maybe that is fix. It should not allow shoppers to order more than available. It just allows the low/out of stock message to display. Hope that fixes it for you.

Having "track low stock level" and "track out of stock level" checked was the issue. Those need to be checked or the emails won't send. Thanks for your help!
