Convert from Weiland to built-in Volume Price

Does anyone have any tips on a way to convert the volume price file from Weiland to built-in? Our challenge is that we have tiers that are not consistent across all products. If they were, I figured I could just do text to columns in Excel. Any ideas?

It's been a while since I've done this but I think you're on the right track with exporting the Vol Pricing and manipulating the spreadsheet to match the import format for the Miva volume pricing price groups.

I don't I have enough info on your "tier" scenario. I think you'll be able to configure the price groups to handle this, however.
Each product can have their own tiers once you set up the volume price group, ( the interfaces are a bit confusing ) but in each product, you can define the different price breaks. One product can have breaks 1, 3, 12, etc and another could 1, 10, 20, etc.

If I recall, the trick in the spreadsheet is to identify the columns correctly so they correspond to appropriate quantity breaks. This could result in many columns. It's more detail-oriented but the technique allows for using a single spreadsheet if you desire.

Old post but even more relevant now. Did you manage to create spreadsheet/file that can be used to update the Volume Pricing?

I ended up doing a SQL query to export the table and then we simplified it by making all tiers consistent across the board. KISS (Keep it Simple Silly) method is the best approach. I think I saw Kent chime in at one time that he has a module that can safely export the data, but don't quote me on this.

Took me a minute to figure out the ranges> I still need to figure out how to do that in a file for import. Bill's module's had such fine nuisances that are not in the default configurations. Makes it difficult to convert for so many reasons.
