FYI - Not sure when Discover Card added this, but they have a new prefix, 65, in addition to the usual 6011. We found this out the hard way when a customer tried to purchase with his discover card and it wouldn't work. We use MivaPay, so we added this to the Payment Card Types section under Payment Settings. Hope this helps others.

On a related topic: Several years ago, I heard that MasterCard was going to roll out a new prefix, 2000- I think. I figured I'd start getting calls from clients running custom payment modules that needed an update; but so far, not a peep. Anyone know what's up with that?Kent Multer

Yes, that sounds about right. But again, I don't know if they've actually issued any cards with the new prefix. Has Miva modified its own payment modules to support this?Kent Multer

To the best of my knowledge, the individual gateways should have updated their acceptable numbers. When using MivaPay, the MasterCard prefixes have been updated. As for the ReadyThemes, the bit of JavaScript used for card detection was updated for MasterCard two years ago and already had support for the 65 line from Discover.Matt Zimmermann

The mastercard new prefixes were added in 2017. This addition of new Discover prefixes will follow the guidance in https://www.discoverglobalnetwork.co...Compliance.pdf and will be in 9.14.00. It appears the 65 prefix may be specific to some kind of co-branded initiative with PayPal.

1. What payment module are you using?
2. Was the transaction an Apple Pay transaction?

Customer said this is simply his replacement Discover card, nothing special, although I do not know if it was through PayPal.
