First Data Payment Module

I am considering changing payment processors to my local bank. They use First Data as a payment processor but I noticed that this particular module is listed as deprecated. I am wondering if anyone else is still using this module and if there are any issues or if there will likely be issues in the future.

I don't think that module works any longer and I wouldn't recommend using it. If you want to use a Merchant Account via First Data, I'd recommend connecting it to Auth.net as the Gateway.

Thanks Rick! I had emailed tech support and they told me it would work but I had concerns that is why I was asking here if anyone was actually using it. The issue with Auth.net is there is a monthly fee and I wouldn't have a fee with direct to First Data. At least that is my understanding.

That is true, Auth.net standalone would have a fee. I still would recommend that fee over the old module, even if it worked today. It's not going to work for a long time because it's based on a very old API of First Data that they're turning off (or have turned off).
