I would like to know if there is any advantage to submitting as part of your feed items like - page title, META keywords, META description. I see these items listed under the SEO column in Miva. Or do you just wait until the search engine crawls your website?

I did see that Miva inlcudes in their click+point settingd for google feed under Product Fields the items I am looking to add to my Google feed (Advanced Mode): Page Title and under custom fields META Description & META Keywords. I tried running a point+click version of the feed but Google Merchant wouldn't accept it - too many column errors. I did see the feed gave me the column names: Product_page_title, Product_customerfield_meta_description & Product_customfield_meta_keywords. I realize these may not be something Google is looking for because I couldn't find anything in the Google listings definitions that I could tie them to.
If anyone knows what should be in the Iterator Template corresponding to these in the Template header I would appreciate knowing them. Thanks,
Chet Vincentz

Google "Feeds" are not for uploading 'seo' information. They are just for uploading product data:

Hi Bruce,
Yes, I know the list quite well but as you and everyone else knows we have very little idea of what Google's algorithm uses to determine which product to put high on the display list. We have an idea that titles of categories and products might influence your standing so why not supply additional information. If it upsets Google I'm sure they will let you know. I guess if we can't find a Google column to put our information in that stops us right away. Thanks,
Chet Vincentz

That's basically what I'm saying. THAT feed, doesn't allow for meta information and isn't used in SR algorithms anyway. At least not for organic searches.Bruce Golub
