PayPal Express Checkout Stopped Working Suddenly

Paypal express checkout doesn't seem to be working anymore. It was working fine up to two days ago though.

I have two different stores and as far as I can tell, on both stores, if I click the continue button on the select payment screen, it takes me back to the Customer Information screen,

I then click the continue button on the Customer Information screen. That takes me back to the select payment screen. But again, if I click the continue button on the select payment screen with the Paypal logo highlighted, it again takes me back to the customer information screen.

Did PayPal make major changes to how their API works?

I tried to ensure that my paypal credential account info is correct in the PayPal Express Checkout and/or Payments Pro module, but on the PayPal website. I found the information by going to the NVP/SOAP API integration (Classic) information. I made sure to get the password and the certificate and tried again, and it still doesn't work.

    The two stores are:

    www.siamese-dream.com

    www.thebuddhagarden.com

    Thanks in advance.

Thank you so much for testing it!!!

I just tested again and with two browsers, it failed (Edge and Opera), but with Firefox, it worked. This was on the same computer.

Do you have any thoughts on why this might be happening?

Hmmm.... ok I just tried with my REAL email and address on Opera and this time it took me to the paypal login.

(Before I was just using a made up name, email address, and shipping address).

I just tried it with Edge browser and it works now too as long as I put in my real address and my real email address and phone number.

Does the paypal Express module (not the pro module) first test the email address with PayPal and if they don't have a paypal account under that email address, return it to the customer information screen?

Maybe the street address needs a certain minimum number of characters???

BUMP - I'm working with support on this and it is still a issue - same thing happening on my end on multiple computers/phones - get stuck on OPAY and just loops if you select Paypal instead of going there. Is the module for paypal MIVA created not valid any longer? Paypal won't assist because they didn't create it. You ever get it fixed Siamese-dream?

I just ran a test like you did Siamese, I made a account on our miva site using the same info I use for my real paypal account, and it took me straight to the paypal website with everything filled in ready to pay. So the paypal module doesn't work, unless a customer uses the same information when setting up account on a miva merchant website or checking out as a guest? I really don't want to have to put a message in BASK saying "PLEASE DUPLICATE YOUR PAYPAL INFORMATION IF YOU WILL BE PAYING THAT WAY" - Is there a fix to this?

Check whether or not your Paypal settings allow customers to 'change' address info. also, if they don't use an email address on Bill To: (or if you don't have the Paypal button before customer information) Paypal SHOULD show a 'login screen'. If not, something is not configured correctly on the PayPal side and you need to talk with them.

I just had this problem or similar (wasn't working in any browser) -- I contacted PayPal for help.

I had to refresh my API credentials in my PayPal account and update them in the PayPal module on Miva.
