    err

    10-12 second loading screen every time I click catalog > products is a bit annoying. Second I try scrolling the list of products I get a list of loading record wheels... Closed the admin window without logging out. Went back to it and all I had was part of the admin. no nav etc and in this mode I'm stuck apparently until my admin log in times out.


    I was hoping for improvements in the task of making images swap but I guess it didn't make the cut

    It turns out I have several problems/annoyances. So much so that it would be easier to screen share and show someone...

      I do agree, being able to see what others are seeing is a HUGE plus. I'm on a Mac so it's a combination of keys for me. It can be done on a PC with Shift and Print Screen but then you have to go into Paint or something. There are a couple of screen share extensions out there for Google - Webpage Screenshot and Screen Capture (by Google) that you could give a try.

      I have a couple of clients that use stuff I can't recall at the moment that saves the screenshot to a website. You might try searching for something like that too. Hopefully others will chime in with what they use.

        We normally use either GoToMeeting for these or Join.me.

        Mark,

        We'll be in touch but it may be a few days as being Beta 1, we'd like a chance to focus on getting it out there and major technical failures before we dig into nuance.

        Also we'd like you to play more so your feedback is more refined.

          I'd consider the really slow speed a pretty technical error :)

          It's also not possible to search a lot of our products in the upper right search. It literally will not show a product that does exist if I click catalog > and use the lower search.

          Same exact search one shows the result one doesn't but I just realized is the catalog search also looking at custom fields now?

          I'm ready when you are...

                      They do when you switch a dev store to the Beta stream there are some pretty clear warnings.

                        Hi Mark,

                        Sorry it took so long but I finally got a copy of your store up on my test server. I have been able to reproduce the long load times for the product lists in both the copy your store and a clean store that has 400,000 products.

                        One thing you can try is to do a Pack Data Files, located under Data Management > Database Tools. Let me know if that improves the speed of the product list loads for you.
