Can not edit image type name and code, no error message

I tried to rename an image type and code.
And the store doesn't display an error message of any kind.

It appears that it will not allow editing of the image type code, IF the code is used on some page templates.

If there were an error message, it should also indicate which page templates it is used on, so we have an avenue of changing this.
